Midnight Bescherelles

Closed the shutters on an ink Black Countryside and the church far over the fields chimed midnight. I am now 47.

Studio, paris, home

This studio is ending.
Halloween to be exact, so it goes.
Yesterday we shot almost 100 young models, they are without exaggeration from every part of the world, their energy is intoxicating.

Portrait of death eaters , St Denis paris suburb

Orford Ness, Atomic weapon research centre

Far on the east coast, shingle and the cold North Sea .

Griffin has been made a Ranger, and rightly so.
We can go where we want.

Derelict bunker laboratories impossible to decipher. He tells me sometimes old men return here who were technicians in the Cold War. Even now they will not share what secret things they did here or maybe they just really never knew.

Shingle and the cold North Sea .

Prince of the low fields, Luisetaines

The Prince finds a magic stick.

The land rolls on for miles dry and golden.

In the distance is Champagne and "la central" nuclear power station, innocently billowing out beautiful white clouds.

Taoist Temple, Qingdao China

This is the oldest Tao temple in the world.
It is simply incredible.

We touch gently the two thousand year old trees, we imagine they are magic and they become magic.

At the edge of sight monks glide serenely in long blue robes.

A beautiful girl offers a prayer, simultaneously texting.

Mother Wolf close, Qingdao

Something happened on the road.
Wasn't expecting it.

Found the heavy bag in the old barn.
Took the reflex bow down from the wall
Didn't touch the bottle today.

Things are changing now.
Finally time to wake up.

Blue tower, Qingdao Eastern China

East, far away, above the yellow sea
We are well met, and feasted
treated as traveller kings,
and shown such relentless wonders and kindness
that on our return it seems as if it were all perhaps dreamt

Shanghai runway, Happy travellers

Everyone seems happy, it reminds me of the annual trip to Blackpool organized by the miners welfare.

Mass dandelion & burdock coach exodus.

For one blazing sun afternoon, everyone you met was another kid from your village rampaging across the promenade.

The plane sits on the runway for two hours, they give us crackers, I fall asleep.

Apocalypse Charles de gaules, industriel action

The taxi drivers are on strike, they have barricaded all routes into the airport with their cars. The train is the only way in but panic has broken out and passengers have broken the platform doors. It descends into chaos.

Some of us start to walk along the motorway.
It looks like a scene from the apocalypse.

Art Basel, Switzerland

Took 3 sweet trains, passed through germany arrived at the cute town of Basel. My leg is burning I think I have done some damage to the nerve on the last transatlantic bucket flight. But here Big money deals done the european way, with some kind of love and unbelievably posh accents on both sides of the fence.

Portrait of a portrait on the boulevard Richard Lenoir

The cheap photocopies in plastic sleeves are starting to disintegrate in the bad January.
This is the Policeman the terrorists shot on the boulevard outside my house.
